The Cheapers are Berlin DJs Ruede Hagelstein and Franzen Texas. Both are resident DJs at Watergate Club, and call Upon You Records their home label. Our friends’ contribution to the Bar25 discography has been cooking for a long time, and now, finally, is ready to meet the light of the musical world. The title track, “Too Late”, is a cooperation with Berlin DJane and singer Meggy, who has already seen success this year with Re.You & Rampa. The Original is a soulful deep house track that’s been freshened up with a tech-housy remix by Smash TV. Vinyl Only, the Cheapers have also added a particularly special track which features some dark sampling that the two artists refer to as gothic house.

The Cheapers - das sind Ruede Hagelstein und Fraenzen Texas aus Berlin. Ihr musikalischer Heimathafen heißt Upon You Records und sie sind als Resident DJ-Team im Watergate Club ansässig. Ihr Beitrag für die befreundete Bar25 Crew liegt schon eine ganze Weile in der Schublade und erblickt nun endlich das Licht der Musikwelt. Der Titeltrack „Too Late“ ist eine Kooperation mit der Berliner DJane und Sängerin Meggy, die in diesem Jahr schon einige Erfolge u.a. mit Re.You & Rampa feierte. Das Original ist souliger Deephouse, der mit dem Remix von Smash TV in Richtung Tech-House aufgefrischt wurde. Vinyl only haben die beiden noch einen ganz besonderen Track mit düsterem Samplewerk beigefügt, den sie selber als Gothik House bezeichnen.
